"Let us be thankful for the fools. But for them the rest of us could not succeed."
About This Fool
Todd has been a juggler for over 20 years. He learned the basics of the 3-ball cascade in the 80's from a Boy's Life magazine article. And then, ultimately, from that most famous of books, Juggling for the Complete Klutz by John Cassidy and B. C. Rimbeaux.
Todd and a neighborhood friend learned and developed together and practiced quite a bit. His skills peaked back then with the 4-ball fountain, 3-club cascade, and 6-ball 4-count passing. Unfortunately, a combination of forces — predominantly a rural life with no contact with other jugglers, plus the influence of girls and a healthy teenage lifestyle — intruded and Todd drifted away from such silliness.
In 1988, Todd entered college at the University of Pittsburgh. He actually attended a couple of the nearby Carnegie Mellon University's juggling club meetings, but again, a combination of forces — beer, women, and a healthy college lifestyle — intruded and Todd drifted away from such silliness.
Fast-forwarding to 2000 — zooming past years of college, the Army, and more college — Todd got his first real job at Red Hat Inc. as a software developer. While there, one of his fellow computer geeks brought some juggling balls to work. Todd remembers thinking "hey! I can juggle!". That teeny catalyst was enough to get him juggling again. And, now, in the Internet age, Todd found his first juggling club: the NC State Jugglers.
From there, Todd has very actively involved in the juggling, and by extention, the variety arts entertainment community. Not unsurprisingly, he has improved his juggling skills dramatically.
Todd has performed various small private juggling gigs as Hardly Foolish and even has done a bit of stand-up comedy. If he is unavailable, please consider hiring one of the skilled local talent available in the Raleigh-Durham-Charlotte area. All of these folks are excellent entertainers with a wide variety of skills.
In his other life, Todd is a Senior Software and Sales Engineer at Lulu Enterprises Inc.. He lives with his wife, dogs, cats, and honey bees in a small house nestled on 6.27 acres of forested land north of Raleigh, NC. He likes to do a little bit of everything, especially if it involves the outdoors, the natural world, or athletics.
